I work closely with the UAS airframe sub-team to design and develop key structural components for competition drones, including landing legs, deployment mechanisms, and electronics trays. Leveraging SolidWorks, we create precise CAD models, which I help transform into physical prototypes using 3D printing and CNC machining.
Our approach emphasizes rigorous testing and refinement to ensure components meet strict performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards. I contribute to the iterative design process, balancing innovative solutions with practical requirements to deliver competition-ready systems.
